Frequently asked questions
How much does a yacht charter in Phuket cost?
A crewed catamaran day charter starts at around 30,000 THB for the whole boat, not per person. The exact figure depends on the vessel, the season and the route: the November–April high season costs more than the low season. Crew, fuel, water, lunch on board and snorkelling gear are usually already included.
Where can you go on a one-day trip?
In a single day you can reach Phang Nga Bay with its limestone karsts, the Racha islands with their clear water, or Coral Island. Phi Phi also fits into a day, but requires an early start. The Similans and Surin islands call for an overnight charter.
Do I need a licence to charter a yacht?
No. Every yacht here comes with a professional crew — skipper and deckhand are included in the price. A licence is only required for a bareboat charter, when you take the vessel without crew; we arrange those separately on request.
When is the best season for a yacht charter in Phuket?
November to April is the dry season: calm water and the best underwater visibility. May to October is cheaper and less crowded, but the weather is changeable and some long-range routes are closed. The Similans are officially closed to visitors from mid-May to mid-October.
What should I bring on board?
Swimwear, sunscreen, a hat and a light windbreaker — it is cooler at sea than ashore. You will not need shoes on board, the deck is kept clean. Towels, water and snorkelling gear are already on the yacht.
Can I bring children?
Yes, and catamarans suit families best: they are more stable than monohulls and barely heel. Child life jackets are on board; tell us the children's ages in advance so the crew can prepare the right sizes.
