What can be better than a piece fo paradise on the haven island Phuket? Two bays between Patong and Kamala beaches were made into one private recreation area - Paradise beach. During the day you can enjoy the warm turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea, golden sand and lush greenery of the tropics. The first bay is perfect for Insta-worthy photos - here you’ll find lots of locations with wicker furniture or rattan figures. The most popular location - swings right on the edge of the cliff. You can ask one of the security personnel to give your swing a nudge, that will make you feel as if really flying above the water. Photos here come out truly breathtaking.
The second bay is a bit more secluded - you won’t find any sun loungers or umbrellas here, but you can still find comfort in the shade of the nearby trees. On the beach, you can rent kayaks and enjoy the views right from the sea!
You aren’t allowed to bring outside drinks or foods - the security at the entrance is very strict about that. There is a nice Thai restaurant on the territory of the beach, with prices a bit higher than the average. The price for a bottle of beer here starts at 120 baht, fruit smoothies at 120 baht, and alcohol cocktails at 300 baht.
Keep in mind that because the beach is private, the entrance is paid - 200 baht per person. This price includes the use of showers and toilets.
As the sun comes down, the beach transforms into a club, where you can enjoy the newest releases of club music. The entrance to the party will cost 100 baht per person. Once a month the beach becomes Koh Phangan’s own mini-branch, as one of the bays sets up the stage for the main party of the month - Full Moon Party. As you can guess from the name - the party takes place on the night of the full moon. If your vacation lets you and includes that day- definitely visit Paradise beach - you will feel the most unforgettable and magical emotions! The entrance for this type of party will cost 1500 per person.
Waves, seasonality
Almost all beaches on the west coast of Phuket are warm and calm during high season, from November to March - the water temperature ranges from 26 to 32 degrees, and waves are almost unnoticeable.
You will still be able to swim here during the low season, from April to October, as it is protected by the nearby cliffs. However, we recommend grabbing a pair of protective shoes for a smooth entry into the water - even though the currents are minimal, they can still cause harm in combination with scattered rocks and shell pieces.
On the bright side, due to the abundance of rocks and cliffs, snorkeling here is perfect - you can rent a mask here or bring one with you.
Who it will suit
We recommend this beach if you like snorkeling - lots of colorful fish and gorgeous coral reefs will definitely impress you. Just make sure you don’t forget protective shoes as the entrance will be through some sharp rocks.
This beach will also be ideal for girls who would love to update their Instagrams with fashionable photos - the owners really thought about even the smallest of details - you’ll find a place to clean yourself up and take a shower. Photo zones are updated on a regular basis, bringing in completely new pieces or refreshing old ones! Honestly though, even without the added details, aquamarine water with white sand will serve as a perfect background.
Lastly, we recommend this area for those who love a good beach party. You won’t find parties like this anywhere else on the island.
How to get here
You can easily get here on your own bike or car. If you don’t have one, you can use a tuk-tuk or a taxi. A one-way trip here will cost you about 300-400 baht. You can also rent a boat and get here from one of the neighboring beaches - this will be very romantic and you will be able to enjoy the gorgeous bays of the west coast.
Take note - there’s a free shuttle bus that runs here every 30 minutes from 9 am until 6 pm from Patong beach. Look for a yellow bus with a big sign “Paradise” next to Bangla Road - usually can be found under “Patong Beach” sign.
Real Estate
Paradise can’t be densely populated, won’t you agree? And we guess this explains why there are no hotels here. Closest hotels can be rented on Tri Trang beach. If you are looking to rent apartments or villas, you can find one up on the hill towards Karon beach.
If you want to purchase an apartment or get yourself a private villa next to Paradise, we recommend looking at real estate options in the south of Patong or north of Karon. You’ll find peace and seclusion here, but will be minutes away from all of the fun entertainment offered on the island.
