Lily Elephant Camp is a small, intimate, and highly ethical elephant sanctuary in Cherngtalay (near Bangtao). There is no riding or commercial show pressure here — people come to connect directly with well-cared-for animals in a natural, serene environment.

The experience focuses on gentle interaction and care:

What’s inside: Feeding bananas and bamboo to the elephants, walking alongside them through green fields, and joining them for a bath.

Main Exclusive: Mud baths and river swimming with the elephants. You get right into the water with them, scrub them down with brushes, and capture raw, genuine moments without massive crowds around.

Atmosphere: Peaceful, friendly, and welcoming. The elephants are happy and well-fed, the mahouts treat them like family, and the staff actively goes out of their way to help you get great photos.

Tip: Bring a swimsuit, a change of clothes, and a towel — you will get muddy, wet, and dirty, but it’s completely worth it. Book your slot in advance to ensure a quiet, small-group experience. You can hand your phone to the guides with confidence; they know the best photo angles and will take tons of great shots for you.
