Phuket authorities distribute humanitarian aid to island residents

Due to the coronavirus crisis, many Phuket guests and local residents have found themselves in a difficult life situation. It is especially difficult for those whose income directly depended on the tourism business.

The Phuket authorities, together with district municipalities, decided to provide humanitarian aid in the form of food packages. The package includes rice, sugar, chicken eggs, canned fish, dried fruits, and water. Municipality employees and volunteers deliver food packages to residents directly at home. Regardless of whether a foreigner or a Thai family lives here, a food package is delivered to every home.

Also, teams of volunteers have been organized in each district. They visit all residents, measure their temperature, and identify people with signs of a possible virus.

I would like to note with gratitude that some homeowners provide discounts to tenants, understanding their difficult situation.

We hope that this crisis will end soon and life will return to normal. Take care of yourself!
